THE STRONGEST KEVLAR WIRE IN THE WORLD?

YOU BET IT IS! CUSTOM MADE

There’s lots of variants of Kevlar wire around, some from Asia and the Eu but the best is British and always has been and always will be. 3 Companies in the UK manufacture various Kevlar wire sizes and have been doing so and supplying the MOD for over 50 years in the following dimensions: 20D (2mm), 28D (2.8mm) and 32D (3.2mm). We have documentation and reports of tests and requirements from Racal (now Cobham Antennas) MOD supplier Joyce Lobel and Plessey. The documentation includes the make up of the wire and it’s tensile strength etc. In the picture above on the left is the 2mm version, next is the 2.8mm version (which is a common version found in Ham Radio shops), next is the 3.2mm and then there is a monster 4.5mm custom made special with over 500 fine kevlar strands which is much more than the 64 strands found in the 2.8mm version, the 4.5mm version has a breaking strain of over 250 kgs which is 3 times the 2.8mm version, just to show how big it really is next to it on the right is standard RG58 coax. The first 3 versions look like toys compared to the 4.5mm version. The resistive nature of the 4.5mm version is much lower due to the heavier weave of the plaited copper line. Several lengths available. Drop us an email. MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity 20 mtrs)
